We walked into our room, straight off the van from the airport, and my first reaction was positive. It was clean with tile floors, and the right amount of beds, but... where was the other room? After a 3 second scan I determined there was no other room. no loft. no nook... One big room. Then I smiled and thanked the staff, who were so accommodating and excited to have us here. After the door closed I laid my head down on the un-maid queen bed and shed a few tears. When I opened my eyes I saw a palm tree swaying in the breeze just outside my window, and I took a deep breath and I just knew- this is our new home, and it's gonna be great. It was a challenge, and you know I love a challenge like this!
So, after unpacking all of our 6 suitcases, and a few target runs, it went from a large white rectangle to THIS! Our new home...
The curtains (shower curtains) close all the way to make a "bedroom" for us! And if you look closely, you'll see a crib in the right corner~ we found a great steal at a local garage sale, and the back side is a solid wood panel. So we just turned it backwards, and viola! A nursery:) There are 2 overhead fans, and a box fan in the window- we've been surprisingly comfortable!
And we're right by the big park! It's an awesome place to play- swings, a ship, and lots of slides and different big toys. Aka. Raegan's heaven.
The girls have BOTH been sleeping great! I think the sunshine and physical activity has them worn out! (Not to mention the time change) Although, getting up at 5am isn't that bad when you go to sleep at 8pm. :)
Anabelle's walking like crazy! Here are our cute sisters, walking around the room~ on our way to the Aloha welcome.

Aloha! The Hawaiin culture is big on hospitality, so we've had an amazing welcome here. Hula dancing, awesome worship, gifts at orientation and a flag ceremony!
One of my favorite things so far, is that every different person to speak has a fun new accent. I've always loved accents. There are so many cultures represented, and YWAM really values honoring every person's individuality and every nations' culture. I love that my girls are experiencing this right along side of us~ learning great values at an early age.
Today is Jordan's 33rd birthday!
Happy birthday to my love~ what a crazy adventure we're on.
Together.
