34 weeks.

love |ləv|
noun
1 an intense feeling of deep affection : babies fill parents with intense feelings of love
2 a person or thing that one loves : she was the love of his life

My darling, you are 6 weeks away, and constantly on my mind and heart. Only when you become a mommy someday will you understand how a person can love someone they've never met with such an intense affection. Daydreaming, I wonder what color your eyes will be, and I bet you'll have hair just like your sister. We cannot wait to hold you and love you, and surround you with pink!

Daddy Daughter.

As D day approaches we are becoming more aware that Raegan will be extra-super-special buddies with daddy very soon. So, we're starting now! Big things and little things: more dates together, projects... getting dressed, snuggling. We're leaning on daddy more each day. (no pun intended) God totally knew what he was doing when he created the process of pregnancy- just like I'm being prepared to be up throughout the night with the baby soon by having to urinate frequently now, so is this: the bigger and slower I get now, the more Raegan must rely on daddy for her normal "mommy stuff"- and it's all perfect preparation for bringing home a baby sister!

Saturday art project: painting in 1980's neon colors.

Putting together Raegan's new dresser- thanks G'ma & G'pop!

Sharing soup on a weekend lunch date.

Setting up the "sound" at the prayer room.

Baby Noah!

Congratulations Damion, Candace, and Ava!

Raegan and I went on a "secret mission" yesterday to hang a sign on their front door~
Welcome home baby Noah!
We are so excited to finally meet our new little friend, Noah Israel. He's absolutely adorable. And Ava is a big sister! My heart is full at the thought of what a gift this little man is.

Happy birthday baby...

Candace is having a baby tomorrow!! We visited them this morning, and it seems so surreal that Ava will have a little brother in the morning. Surreal, yet very real at the same time! Woah, that's me in a few weeks. Two kids!
Last night we were reading a kids book about having a new baby sibling, and Raegan got to the page where the mommies belly is nice and round. She "read", "Mommy's tummy has a baby inside," then looked up at me and said, "just like you, mommy, and Candace." She totally gets it. In fact, at random times during the day she'll ask me if sister is kicking me in there. We've all got baby on the brain! 6 1/2 weeks left...

The zone.

When asked, "How are you feeling?" these days, my answer has become:
"I'm definitely in the zone."
Pregnancy is crazy, but the end of pregnancy... is really crazy. There is a baby in there! Like, a you could be born today and survive, you're throwing off my balance, I can feel your every move, there goes your baby bum under my rib cage, I'm starving, where did my waist go, sorry Raegan just sat on you again, pleeeease go to sleep because I want to sleep too, bought you a stroller this morning, you've got the hiccups, 7 weeks until I kiss you, baby in there!!
People keep saying how small my belly looks for being so far along. I'm pretty sure its because she has fully inhabited my lower back, lungs, and bladder. I'm pretty sure it also has something to do with my french fry self-control this time around, and my darling (non-stop going) Raegan B! (self high-five) I kinda forgot just how uncomfortable it gets until recently. But I will say it over and over again: It is all SO worth it!

The Furnace

One of the desires embedded in my husband's heart is to build a prayer room. A place where worship, prayer, and intercession would be constantly ushered up to the throne of God. A place to be with the Lord. A place to pray for our city. Our nation. Our world. Our family. We have been moving toward this goal for what seems like a long time, and last week we got a "home!"

There was a dance party in the Boley house, to say the least!!

So, the central location will be shared with our church offices, and it will be used for God's work. Starting... NOW! There is excitement in the air. It's a new season! We're doing it!
Raegan and some girl friends were having a blast during a worship set last week:

What do you REALLY want to do?
If you could go and do anything at all, where would you go?
What's stopping you?

9 weeks and counting!

I'm 31 weeks now, so that puts our countdown at 9 weeks 'til DUE date! So, I thought it was about time for a belly picture...
I've bid my belly button goodbye, greeted the clothes at the bottom of the maternity bin, and come to terms with 3rd trimester tiredness. Unlike usual, my afternoon nap attempts have been extremely successful lately! A true gift from God. The little things we all take for granted, like picking up my toddler, or rising to my feet from a squat, are getting tougher by the day. So, instead of feeling pathetic, I'm just trying to be creative- I love the step stool in my kitchen, for example!
I'm also increasingly grateful for Raegan's level of independence. The potty training adventure turned out to be a 3 week push, and now it almost feels like a thing of the past. She picks out and puts on her own socks and shoes, uses the bathroom and washes her hands completely alone, asks if the dishwasher is clean or dirty before grabbing a cup for juice, helps me cook, uses her imagination, and most recently really loves caring for her baby doll, Stella. She rocks her, feeds her, sings her sweet songs, insists on sleeping with her, and snuggles with her during shows. I think it's the Lord's way of calming any fears in me about bringing home a little sister. She's still very much a blossoming 2 year old, pushing limits and exploring emotions, but that's to be expected, and I adore who she is. I'm intentionally treasuring these last weeks alone with my beautiful first born daughter!

Daddy's birthday weekend!

Jordan turned 32 on Friday!

First things first, we had to make birthday cake! Raegan helped with every ingredient (including eggs!) and did all the mixing. She's quite the baker.

Raegan also did all of the decorating- she picked out every bottle of sprinkles in the whole drawer. Needless to say, they were very colorful cupcakes!

Dinner for a King:
Our amazing friends hosted Jordan's birthday dinner. I brought Jordan's favorite dish, tons of pizzas! His best buddies came and our families enjoyed a fun evening together of food, Nintendo Wii, and, after the mommy's took the babes home for bedtimes, Iron Man!

The Guys:
Today I took him out for a birthday date- lunch and the movies. Raegan had a date too! She and our dear friend went out to McDonalds, shopping at the mall, and even for icecream! All 3 Boleys have had a pretty fun weekend~ Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Family football party!

Tonight our team WON the Orange Bowl!

We decorated a little bit, put on our Iowa gear, and had a little family Hawkeyes party tonight. We had a "team dinner": Spaghetti and meatballs with Gatorade to drink.
We love spending time together, and it's fun to celebrate the little things...
Raegan chanted all night,
"Go Hawkeyes, uh huh! Go Hawkeyes, uh huh!"
accompanied by some killer dance moves or course.
(my little cheerleader in training)
Raegan helped color some Hawkeye pictures and we decorated in black and gold!

Next season we'll have two mini Hawkeye cheerleaders to dress up!
