Turkey Day...

A Thanksgiving toast! Both my parents and Jordan's parents came to Tacoma for Thanksgiving this year, along with our siblings and nieces. Our house was full, and it was a blast!
13 total. (well, 14 if you include the little girl in my tummy)

My dad was the chef, with my mom assisting. It was delicious! The girls helped make turkey name cards for the tables by tracing Raegan's little hand.

The Nintendo Wii players with their game faces on.
Aunt Christy and Uncle Jered~
Cousin Emma helped my dad baste the Turkey. Mmm... We are still enjoying all the left-overs.
Raegan jumping on her bed! Her "cousies" played so well with her, running up and down the stairs, having tea parties, and watching her "jump!"

Cousin Lili playing on the iphone with Raegan...

Uncle Jered peeling potatoes...

My mom stirring a "cup of tea..."

...and Uncle Chris keeping us
entertained in the kitchen.

So so much to be thankful for!

p.t. update!

It's been one week of potty training, and she is TOTALLY getting it! Today before lunch she announced that she needed to go, went in, got ready all by herself, and WENT! What a rock star! This isn't as scary as I thought it would be. Raegan is one smart cookie, so why would this be any different, right? My dream of only having one child in diapers at a time is looking like it will come true!

36 days until Christmas...

Who says it's too early for a Christmas party!?
The newlywed Mobergs hosted
"A Christmas experi-MINT Party" last night,
and everyone came dressed in Candy Cane colors.
They're partying once a week for the next month!
Cute Candy Cane friends!

Ava won the Candy Cane Hunt!
Look at that sweet, happy girl and her treats...
Me and Melisa in our Christmas gear:)
Candace with our girls! They stayed up late for the party.

a BIG weekend!

The girls spent the weekend in Ellensburg, and boy did we have a very BIG weekend! Candace was having her second baby shower, so we drove over for the festivities. It was a great party, and I'm so glad I got to be there.

That was just the beginning of the action...

For starters, my hometown saw her first snow of the season, and my two-year-old was ecstatic, to say the least. Like mother, like daughter.
It was her first time catching snow-flakes on her tongue~

The next BIG thing: We officially started potty training! Raegan's grandparents bought her princess panties, pull-ups, cookies, and juice, and we spent all day Sunday on this adventure. Some accidents, but an overall great start! Goodbye diapers, and hello pull-ups. (I hope this isn't too much information for the world to know, but it's a life-altering event for us!)

Last, but certainly not least, Raegan spent the night in her first twin bed all by herself. She looked so very tiny in that big girl bed, but she did great!

Needless to say, we were all tuckered out from the fun, eventful weekend.

Homemade Pizza

Totally from scratch! The cool part is that Raegan stuck with me through the entire process: mixing the dough, rolling it out, and topping it. Twice!

Then she helped do the dishes, aka, played in the sink. Isn't her cherry apron amazing? She got it for her birthday from her friend Jane. Thanks for the inspiration!

Big Girl Bed

"Perching." That's what I called Raegan's gymnastics tricks on her crib frame...
"Mommy, I'm riding a pony! Neigh!" What? This sounds interesting. Guess it's time to get up. So I'd go in her bedroom to find her "perched" like an elementary student at the top of the monkey bars! Or after a nap I'd peek in to see her smiling face, "perched," saying, "Mommy! I climbed up!" Let's put it this way: She is super strong, but I couldn't let her keep performing unsupervised acrobatic acts!

So, in a matter of days it was Big-girl-bed time. We converted her crib to a bed, added a soft pink safety rail, and into childhood she soars. It's crazy. And its really a good thing that I have a little baby coming soon, otherwise I would have been a mess, saying goodbye to my baby and hello to my big girl. Now if only she would be this excited about the potty...

Lunch Dates with Pop-pop!

We have been so blessed to see my dad almost every Thursday lately. (He works on this side of the mountains once a week.) So, he'll drive into town early just to drop by and take us girls out to lunch. We usually walk to Metro Market and pick out delicious treats, but today we met in UP for sandwiches. Get this: He's bringing us Thai dinner too! Do I have the best dad ever, or what? And did I mention he's also baby-sitting and putting Raegan to bed for us tonight? Needless to say, Raegan and I LOVE Thursdays, and we love you, Papa:)
