"Oh look, she's an ipod!"

Us (three) girls, getting ready for the evening!

Raegan was an Ipod Nano! I found the pink shell at a consignment shop for only $.25 and made the rest myself. I'm pretty proud of my creation. Lot's of people commented, "Oh, look at the cute pink ipod!" And a stranger even asked to take her picture.

We met up with friends in the Proctor District for early trick-or-treating.
Cute girls enjoying their candy together...
A Cowgirl, a Bumble Bee, a Winter Princess, Ariel, an Ipod, and a Huskie Cheerleader!
We love Casey so much! She is one of Raegan's absolute favorite "second mommies!"
Beautiful little "cowgirl" Claire!
Out trick-or-treating with Isabelle... Raegan loves her cool big-girl friend!
Candy break! All of a sudden, she just sat down on the sidewalk and declared it was time for a rest. Then she proceeded to dig through her pumpkin to find the perfect candy for munching on the go.

"Sweet"

A quick picture before school today~
Raegan wore a cute little Halloween outfit to school, and I couldn't resist another picture of her with our pumpkins- I just love holidays. Any reason to dress up or have special treats is fine by me. Little things matter: a pumpkin-shaped bowl of candy corn, a jack-o-lantern, spicy candles, or a fun new outfit in orange and black!

And here's a "tummy" picture of me. I'm half way there- 5 months. We can't wait to hold our next little girl! Every night I look forward to relaxing and feeling her flip around in there. Jordan felt her move for the first time this week. Every single kick feels like a brand new miracle!

Pumpkins

We carved a pumpkin toninght! My orange shirt was a total coincidence, but very fitting for the occasion!
Surprisingly, Raegan didn't want to use her bare hands to scoop the guts out. "Yucky!" So, she used the scooper tool and was happy to take turns.

Happy Halloween! We used a timer, so smiling together was a little tricky... no pun intended!

Handmade headbands!

My friends are hand creating the most beautiful new line of headbands!
Cute flowers, gems, hand-stitched felt... and the best part is-
They actually STAY in place!
Raegan wears hers for a couple of hours before I even need to readjust it!
Totally affordable and totally adorable!

Daddy Daughter Date

To kick off Halloween week, Raegan went with her daddy to a harvest party at church! I've been so sick lately, and although I'm sad to miss these fun events, it seems like the perfect opportunity for more daddy/daughter bonding time! Raegan loved her date.

We're saving Raegan's actual costume for Halloween trick-or-treating, (stay tuned) but thankfully she had her beautiful dress-up princess dress and a spare crown to throw on! Is it just me, or does she look so grown up!?

She came home with her face painted. A cute little heart, but she was so proud.

Go Hawkeyes!

There are two pretty excited Iowa fans in our house lately! Apparently (as in, I wouldn't know other than being told) it's a really big deal that Iowa is 8-0. It's their first ever 8-0 start in the history of the school. Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about? Thanks Gramma and Grandpa Boley for Raegan's cute Hawkeyes outfit!

Fall projects.

Although our excitement over Crayola crayons never dies, lately I've been trying to mix it up a bit (mainly for my own sake). So, today we went on a fall family walk and collected different colored leaves. We brought home a bag full and made leaf collages with our findings...

Earlier on this week we made sugar cookies together, cut in the shape of pumpkins of course, and decorated them with lots of yummy sprinkles and treats.

We also opened the fingerpaint set that Raegan got for her birthday. It was really fun! And a total mess!

It's a...

GIRL!

I am so excited to announce to the world that we are having another healthy little princess! Jordan, Raegan, and I went together as a family to see the ultrasound. We even brought home a video of the whole thing! It's such a miracle every time I see it. I was convinced that she was a boy in there, so it was kind of a surprise to hear otherwise. I told the ultrasound technician to bring up the picture and let me guess- and I was right! 99.999% sure that it's a little lady doing flips in there. I'm so excited for Raegan to have a sister, to dress her up in Raegan's cute clothes, and just to have another fun girlfriend running around the house all day with us. Two years from now, I can already hear... 2 sets of clicking dress up heals making their way through the kitchen!

an upside-down profile of our little babe...

Raegan has definitely grasped the concept of a baby inside my growing tummy: she gives it kisses, rubs it, and snuggles it, but I wasn't sure she quite understood that she is actually going to have a little sister, until last night. We were having bath time, and I was trying to explain to her that a little baby girl was growing in there. Finally I told her that a baby Princess was going to be part of our family soon. She lit up! To be sure that she didn't expect Cinderella to pop out, I asked her if SHE was a princess, to which she replied, yes. Now she is really excited to have another princess friend around! She keeps asking to hold her... just be patient my sweet, she's not quite ready cooking:)

Oh, and we don't have a name picked out yet. That may end up being a surprise until her birthday. My due date remains: March 14th.

In honor of Grandma Betty.

Last week we received a shocking phone call from the Boleys with the news that Jordan's grandmother Betty was in the hospital with 24 hours to live. We were stunned, but thankful for the chance to talk to her one last time. Jordan had a conversation with her late that night, and by morning she had passed on. He hopped a plane the next day and spent 5 days in Iowa with his family. This photo was taken only 2 months ago when Raegan and I journeyed to the Midwest. This was Betty's first time meeting her great granddaughter, Raegan at a family party.

We love you Grandma Betty. See you in heaven!

Cute friends...

Claire taught Raegan how to SMILE for the camera! Now I say, "Ok, smile like Claire!" when it's picture time, and it works like a charm... Thanks Claire!

Girls Trips!

Raegan and I both went on trips last week! She got to go to Gramma and Grandpas in Ellensburg from Wednesday through Sunday. My dad had her all day Thursday and Friday while my mom taught school, and the two of them had a blast together. My favorite story... Raegan was eating her macaroni and cheese lunch, looked up and said, "I like you, Grandpa." So sweet. Raegan came home talking about Winnie the Pooh and saying, "oh bother!" just like Pooh! That was my favorite growing up, so my mom played it for Raegan and she quoted it just like I did.

Meanwhile, I joined 5 girlfriends for our second annual Arizona adventure! We slept in, shopped "Last Chance," sun-bathed, ate Gelato, and just loved being together on vacation.

It's Fall!

A couple of weeks ago my dad stopped by and we went for our first fall walk together... the leaves were just starting to change, and the air was crisp! He took us to lunch at our favorite spot, Metropolitan Market.

Also, Raegan attended her first football game. We cheered on the Stadium Tigers, and Raegan sat on my lap the entire time, clapped with the crowd and yelled, "Go football game!" and "Go Tigers!"
