"Enjoy it honey, they grow up too fast."

That was my morning parenting advice from a little old lady in the produce section at Safeway.

Raegan speaks in full, clear, and often lengthy, sentences now. I'm truly blown away by her vocabulary. She'll walk right up and say, "Hi Candace!" or "Hey Daddy!" My current favorite is "Mommy, where are you?" She has no trouble getting her point across, that's for sure!

Oh, and have I mentioned she can count to eleven? And she's beginning to sing her ABC's! It's like this little girl is emerging right before my eyes. She's totally into puzzles lately, still loves to color, and can do a killer summersault all by herself. What a huge summer this has been for our family. It is so fun to watch her grow, but don't worry little old lady...

I'm enjoying every minute!

Around the corner?

I'm officially 12 weeks pregnant, and hoping to "come up for air" any day now. I have been so sick lately. Not just nauseous in the morning, but headaches almost everyday, bad evening sickness, and overall yuckiness. I think the end of the first trimester is technically 13 weeks or so, and I am literally counting the days.

Raegan is such a trooper- she has learned to love snuggling in my bed, watching shows, doing puzzles, reading books & munching snacks for as long as we need to. When 5 o'clock rolls around she usually gets to play outside with daddy and go nuts with all of her pent-up energy!

It's all gonna be worth it.
It's all gonna be worth it.

Twinkle Twinkle, my little star!

Raegan loves to sing! And her latest song is "Twinkle twinkle little star." Tonight I sat down at the piano and played an accompaniment for her while she sang it over and over again for her daddy. She twirled and sang and sang and twirled, and when it was over each time she'd clap and ask to sing it again. I was in heaven, of course, singing with my daughter! After "twinkle twinkle" we moved on to "Happy Birthday" and inserted every name she knows. What a complete joy. I love her age so very much, and I know that every day is special together. She's been asking me to sing her "Ariel" before bedtime each night, which I gladly, and theatrically do for her. And she laughs on cue during the line, "You want thing-a-ma-bobs? I got 20!" I love being a mother and watching this little lady blossom right before my eyes.

Susanne is married!

August 8th I was honored to stand in the most elegant wedding I've ever attended. My dear friend Susanne tied the knot with the love of her life, Brian! The ceremony took place outside in a private garden overlooking the water~ can you say romantic?! My friend Julie and I sang a duet during their first communion and unity candle lighting. Susanne planned out every detail of the day so perfectly~ and everything went off without a glitch. Perfect little gazebo, violin entrance for the bride, white garden chairs, table name cards for each guest, elegant floral centerpieces, delicious cake, cute introductions at the reception, fun slideshow, etc... and turns out, I left my camera at home that day, but I did get one shot of the bride with my iphone (so handy). Congrats to the newly-weds!

In the meantime...
Raegan spent the entire weekend living it up with my parents! They went to the zoo, rode the carousel, took walks, enjoyed yummy treats, played games, read books, stayed up late, and were just amazing grandparents! We were so thankful for their support.
