Watermelon face :)

Beautiful ballerina!

Yesterday we played dress up for the first time! We got down her tutu and beads and I helped her dress up like a ballerina. Needless to say, she is a total princess and loved it! "pretty!" she kept squealing as she twirled in circles. And my favorite part was just how much she wanted her daddy to notice her lovely pink outfit and graceful moves! I love having a girl! She has learned the word "pink" and uses it to point at her closet when we're getting her dressed. Luckily there are many options for pink outfits!! Oh, I almost forgot. She also learned to say ballerina, "reena," and made sure everybody knew she was a pretty little reena! Oh how I adore my beautiful ballerina!

"Bless you."

Early last week I was busily doing my own thing, I sneezed, and much to my surprise I heard, "bless you," in a tender little voice. I turned, looked down, and there she was with a smile on her face.

"What did you say honey?" I asked in astonishment.

"Bless you, Mommy."

Shocked that she A. knew what a sneeze was, B. knew what to say when somebody sneezed, and C. actually said it all by herself at the right time, I scooped her up and bombarded her adorable face with kisses galore!

Every day she is more and more fun. And she's turning into one sweet little girl!

Her latest interests:

Princesses. especially Ariel. "Ah ah ah..."
Bubbles.
Dressing up with jewelry.
Popsicles.
Books. Listening to stories and "reading" stories.
Smelling flowers.
Strawberries!
Coloring.

Pacific Science Center!

Last week my friends Esther, Shannon and I took our kids to the science center in downtown Seattle! It was really really fun. All of the photos were taken with my iphone, so they aren't the clearest, but still fun to look at... There were so many hands-on activities, even for Raegan's age to enjoy! She loved playing on the instruments with her friend Reiya, pretending to fly in a helicopter with lots of fun buttons, splashing with the water toys, learning about bugs, and most of all watching the beautiful butterflies fly around us in the butterfly house! A butterfly even landed on Reiya's big brother Malachi's cap! He was so brave; he just smiled until it flew away. The girls were so tuckered out, they slept the whole way home!

Hong Kong...

Jordan recently spent 10 days serving at a conference for world-wide Christian leaders in Hong Kong! He also got to see the city afterward with his dad, who also attended...

Meanwhile, I spent his time away with our pastors 4 awesome kids plus Raegan, and we had an adventurous week! It was super hot, so we tried to keep cool and kick in the summer with fun activities...

Strawberries!

Strawberries are Raegan's favorite fruit, so this summer I decided to buy a few strawberry plants and we planted them together in a big pot in the backyard.

Each day we go out to see if there are any red ones to pick! There are usually a few more to pick every day, and it's become such a fun moment between the two of us. She gets SO excited to pick her strawberries, and sometimes I'll hose them off right there so she can enjoy her treat right away!

"NEEK!"

For Memorial Day weekend, we took a family adventure up North to a little lake called Cain Lake. It was beautiful, peaceful, and sunshiny! Raegan's translation for lake is "neek." Each morning, first thing, her eyes would get wide and she would exclaim, "Neek!" So precious. She loved going out in the little boat with us, feeding the ducks, and spending quality time with mommy and daddy. She seemed so grown up on this trip!

Princess Raegan took incredible naps while we were there because she was having such a good time, and it was a big treat to just lay in the sun and relax together while she dozed away! The lake had a no-motor policy, so it was absolutely peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect way to ring in the summer!
